The One Man Acoustic Beatles Tribute Band: Paul Davie
For over 9 years, Hofner Beatle's Bass player Paul Davie created and led one of the best Beatles Tribute Bands in America - THE FAB FIVE - to the 'toppermost of the poppermost'. In that time, the lads from Liverpool NY USA performed from Louisville KY to The Cavern Club in Liverpool, England and were featured in 2007 on CBS Sunday Morning.
The Fab Five had the pleasure to open, and also back up, many key figures from the British music scene of the 60's & 70's, including Joey Molland of Badfinger, Terry Sylvester of The Hollies (1969-81) and Original Beatles Drummer Pete Best with his band over a dozen times. Paul's group also opened for other British Invasion & pop music heroes - Gerry & The Pacemakers, The (New) Rascals and The Grass Roots. The Spencer Davis Group actually opened up for The Fab Five at The Cavern, when they backed Joey Molland in 2008 at International BeatleWeek!
On October 16, 2009, The Fab Five officially retired to a packed house at Good Morning America's "#1 Barbeque Joint" and live music venue - The Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse. With a little help from friends Mark Dawson from The Grass Roots and Joey Molland, the quintet ended a successful run that very few local bands ever have the opportunity to experience. A week later, Paul joined Molland and Terry Sylvester for a three week tour of Australia! "The Legends of Liverpool" performed throughout the Sydney, Adelaide and Perth regions, and was a dream come true for Paul. Except he never saw one kangaroo the entire time!
Keeping the namesake brand he worked hard to build, FAB FIVE PAUL enjoys performing a solo acoustic act around Central NY that is different every night and customized to the atmosphere of the crowd. Here, he gets to stretch his musical wings with a catalog of over 350 songs, and five different instruments along for the ride (guitar, bass, keyboard, harmonica and even a ukulele!) Don't be surprised if you come to a FFP show, and you see audience members dancing to NO drums or backing tracks! His powerful strumming technique on the acoustic only proves what John Lennon once said to a club owner in 1960 - "The rhythm's in the guitars!"
He also enjoys performing with his new band - THE FAB 570 - playing the greatest Beatles-influenced Power Pop hits of the 70's. Badfinger, Three Dog Night, Grand Funk Railroad, The Raspberries, David Bowie, Todd Rundgren, Squeeze and of course..."late-era" songs from The Beatles and their post-breakup solo careers.

Thu July 26 – Limp Lizard Liverpool, on the PATIO!
The Village of Liverpool has a year-old live music hotspot, which also serves great BBQ cuisine! It’s The Limp Lizard on First Street – across from Washington Park and M&T Bank. This newer location continues the fine tradition of original Limp Lizard location in Western Lights. Delicious pulled pork, chicken, seafood, chili, killer cornbred…and of course, top-notch local music.
This is a venue I have some freedom to play some more upbeat (and off-beat!) tunes than usual, and during the summer music will be on front patio! www.LimpLizardBBQ.com
